Essence ~ Beam me Up, Across the Universe and Outta Space is the Place

Essence ~ Beam me Up, Across the Universe and Outta Space is the Place
From the “Out of Space Stories” collection

Out of Space Stories is a collection of seven polishes from spring 2017. I bought six of them and will be wearing them in pairs over the next couple of days. The seventh polish is black which is why I didn’t buy it.

Today I’m actually wearing three of them, namely Outta Space is the Place, which is a super pale pink with a beautiful green shimmer – I also showed you that one yesterday. I’m also wearing Beam me Up, a bright fuchsia polish with holographic finish, and Across the Universe, which is a duochrome that shifts between lilac and grey.

I ended up with a mani that looked like this:

Pinkie: Two layers of Beam me Up. Great drying time. Then two stripes made with Across the Universe.
Ring finger: Two layers of Across the universe. Great drying time. I placed a stud in topcoat by the base of the nail.
Middle finger: Two coats of Outta Space is the Place. I made random dots with the two other polishes.
Pointer: Two layers of Beam me Up. Stamp from stamping plate Moyra No. 106 Such a Strange Girl. The stamping polish is just a regular black one from El Corazón.

This picture is taken in daylight, no sun.

Here are the three polishes on their own. It’s two coats of each and they all have a great drying time.

Here are the polishes and the stamping plate I used.

Like I said: I’m a fan. The fuchsia is my favourite from this collection!

Stay tuned for the next two from the Out of Space Stories-collection.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Shimmer and holo
Overall impression: I like them. Across the Universe is my least favourite of this collection and the only one I would not buy again
Buy again: Yes to two of them

Essence ~ Outta Space is the Place & Space Glam

Essence ~ Outta Space is the Place & Space Glam
From the “Out of Space Stories” collection

Out of Space Stories is a collection of seven polishes from spring 2017. I bought six of them and will be wearing them in pairs over the next couple of days. The seventh polish is black which is why I didn’t buy it.

Today I’m wearing Outta Space is the Place, which is a super pale pink with a beautiful green shimmer, and Space Glam, which is pale purple packed with golden shimmer. They both covers in two coats, and Space Glam can also be used as an effect polish, which is what I did today.

Today’s mani included stamping. I used stamping plate Moyra No. 112 Far Far Away and I stamped with a metallic purple from El Corazón called f-14.

This is the final mani including topcoat:

I must admit that I’m totally in love with this mani!

Here’s Outta Space is the Place on its own. It’s two coats and the drying time is good. It’s the shimmer that makes this polish super pretty in my opinion.

I sponged Space Glam on the tips, like a gradient, before I stamped on it. Here’s that step.

Here are the polishes and the stamping plate I used.

I’m a fan of Essence because they make a good variety at very cheap prices. I think the quality is fine too.

Stay tuned for the next two from the Out of Space Stories-collection.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Shimmer, both of them
Overall impression: The shimmer makes these polishes something else. I like them both
Buy again: Yes

Lilypad Lacquer ~ No more Chances

Lilypad Lacquer ~ No more Chances
Magenta based berry linear holo

I was in the mood for something beautiful but simple today, so I grabbed “No more Chances” from Lilypad Lacquer.

The formula is good and super easy to work with. No flooding of the cuticles but only polish where you actually want it. I used two coats for full opacity and the drying time was really good.

I placed a little flower stud by the base of each nail right after applying the second coat. I topped the whole thing with basecoat to seal it all up, and this, dear readers, is the final mani taken with flash:

I really like the simplicity of this! The studs are from evilbay :D

This is taken in ordinary daylight, no sun. Isn’t it just a gorgeous colour?

This mani ended up exactly the way I wanted it from the beginning: beautiful and simply. I love it when it ends like that!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great colour and quality, nice rainbows. A good buy!
