Golden Rose ~ Holographic Nail Colour #04

Golden Rose ~ Holographic Nail Colour #04
Rose pink linear holo

Today it’s time for my third Golden Rose Holographic out of the four I bought. I usually save the best till last so check in again tomorrow to see my favourite of the bunch.

The formula is really good and the polish covered in two easy and fast drying coats.

I made little lines in red and turquoise on it and sealed the whole thing up with topcoat.

Here’s the final mani including topcoat. The picture is taken in the sun.

This picture is taken in the lightbox. It shows the true colours of the holographic. It’s not as pale as the first two polishes I showed you.

Here’s the holographic on its own; two coats. The picture is taken in the sunshine.

Here are the polishes I used:

Golden Rose Holographic #04, Colour Alike: B. a Rudolph & B. a Raindrop

I don’t think I’d wear the holo on its own but it’s definitely more wearable for me than the two first I tried.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Strong linear holo
Overall impression: I love the strong rainbows!
Buy again: Yes

Holographic Peacock Chameleon Nail powder –green to blue

Holographic Peacock Chameleon Nail powder –green to blue from Beauty Big Bang

Today I’m going to show you a nail powder I got from Beauty Big Bang recently in return for an honest review. Beauty Big Bang is a web store that sells all kinds of stuff for nails and nail art and they ship internationally.

The powder is a holographic duochromatic nail powder. It comes in a small container along with two applicators. It looks like this in the container, and it’s listed here. The one I am reviewing today is number 9a.

If you have been here for a while, you will know I don’t do gel nails. I used Dance Legend’s glitter base as my base, and the powder sticks just fine to that. I used black as my base colour today. .

I rubbed the powder onto the dry base and the effect came out. It is really beautiful.

Here is what it looks like. There’s a layer of water based topcoat involved.

Look at that shift – isn’t it just beautiful!

The powder contains holographic pigment too! Let me turn on the flash for you so you can see it:

The rainbow effect isn’t as prominent as in the powder I tried a couple of days ago, but it’s still pretty. The duochromatic effect makes up for the lack of strong rainbows for sure!

The verdict:

Pros:
Amazing shift
Pretty rainbows
Easy to use

Cons:
You need a base that the powder can stick to

BeautyBigBang has got free worldwide shipping, and they are offering my readers a 10% discount. All you have to do is to use the code RBWM10 when you check out.

Golden Rose ~ Holographic Nail Colour #06

Golden Rose ~ Holographic Nail Colour #06
Pale baby blue linear holo

Golden Rose has made a collection of holographic nail polishes and I bought four of them. I have already showed you #03 (click this link to see it) and today it’s time for another pale sister, namely number 06.

Like I said – I’m usually not wearing pale colours on their own, so this is how I ended up wearing it. The picture is taken in the sun.

I used two coats of the #06. The formula was great and the drying time was good too.

The darker blue sides are made with tape and China Glaze’s “I Truly Azure You” (Click this link to see it on its own) LINK
This picture also shows how pale the polish is on its own. There’s no way I would wear this alone!

Here’s the holographic on its own; two coats and a layer of topcoat. The photo is taken with flash.

Here is the stuff I used for my manicure. The little studs are from Aliexpress. They’ll probably last me more than a lifetime, haha! :D

Tomorrow I’ll show you my third Golden Rose Holographic, so stay tuned.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Strong linear holo
Overall impression: Great rainbows! The colour is very pale so the blue almost looks grey
Buy again: Not quite sure about that
